Hey all

Another tourney idea from me. As the name suggests
- it's a knockout cup,
- each team will consist of 4 players, and
- each team is based on what country its players are from.

Your team does well as long as its players remain in the tournament, basically. The winning team is the one with a player(s) remaining in the tournament after all other teams have been eliminated. Sounds complicated but it's quite simple - just don't lose!!!

Rules
Á: All games are best of five/first to three.
ß: As many teams as they like can enter. This is because even if we had 16 (or 8 or 32, etc), we'd still probably have to give byes if more than half the players remaining belonged to one team. Ish.
Ç: In each round, players on the same team will be drawn against opponents as diversely as possible.
Ð: If necessary, there'll be continental teams, or teams based on combinations of countries or continents, or a rest of the world team.

É: If there's lots of demand for one country, it may be possible to create two or more geographically-based teams from them, e.g. England North and England South, or London and Rest of England, etc.
?: If there's anything I've left out, I'll add to or amend the rules if necessary.
G: Byes - players may get byes in a round and not have to represent their team. These byes will be spread as evenly as possible. This rule won't really take effect until verrry late on I think... hmmmm.

And an amendment to Rule Ç: the diversity of opponents will be spread through the rounds. Don't worry about it, I'll explain it when it happens.

That's the hard work out of the way, now all you have to do is pick a team and not get beaten! Who's in!!!?

And that was a league tournament, so this one is bound to take much shorter. We've got 6 players in so far, what are the rest of you waiting for?

lol, what I mean is it'll probably be England North and South, or London vs Rest of England, etc. But say there were 4 players from Kent, then why not have a Kent team. Or combined counties or something. But we'll wait first till we see what happens. For all we know it could become England vs the Rest of the World.
