this is one annoying thing.when someone losses in the final round of the tour
i think that it would be ok that the player who lost in the final gets some points

Think of all the "fake" newbs, that would play just to get loads of points, They win 30 tourneys and are on 975??

but there are other ways of solving that problem

900 points or more-1 point
800 to 899-3 points
700 to 799-5 points
699 or under-10 points

Nah no point in this, been discussed to many times about people getting points in tourny.


It's a stupid idea to be honest, I'd rather stick to playing actual ranking matches..

The only way rankings in tournaments can work is to have all games ranked just like normal games.

I am a big fan of this idea, as it would go some way to iron out the problems with the current rank system in eliminating the ability to choose your opponent.

It cannot happen as the ranking system cannot just give away points without taking them away. If every game in the tourny was ranked it would work but it would be another way for fake newbies to cheat. Plus if the winner got 10 points for instance he could just play in tournies and never lose points. Then we will have 1000 plus ranked players.

This has probably been mentioned before.

However, maybe there could be a tourny for champions every week. There would be a maximum of 7 x 24 = 168 players but in reality it would be about 32 and there could be groups like the champions league where you have to play every game type. I just think this would make winning a tourny more of an achievment as the high number of tournies has taking the pleasure away. But it would be more work for mods but would be possible rather than attempting it on forums.
