to beat a pro you have to play like a pro??

It's a little of both, I think. Pro players do have their bad days, but even playing bad, they are better than most. Sometimes an intermediate or adept will surprise you, though.

yeah i have had some VERY bad days :) but sometimes you get an intermediate with 3000 games under their belt and they probably will beat you unless you are awesome! like me lol right like me.... haha soooo funny

All it takes is an opportunity for someone to get in front and win...

Of course, there is also the accidental snooker/pot that will win an inter a game against a pro...

But, you then have the inters that only play tournies and friendlies.... They may have the qualities of a pro, but choose not to show it through ranked...

i beat an adept in the tourny thought i was king then got put out in the next round by a newbie! truely gutting!
