Around here depending on the pool hall or pub u go to, you can ever play 1 shot carry or 2 they have diffo rules for diffo places,
I think playing 1 shot carry would make the game harder, especialy for the players who like to play deffensive ..so the games would be alot more open.
I like the game been 2 shot carry tho, but i wonder if a few would prefer just 1 shot carry.
Maybe 1 day that could be an option in your game type, adding that bit more variety too funkypool.

It can be annoying when you give away a 2 shot carry when on the black, and they need to use the first to set themselves up

i agree also, i hate the carry rule i think it makes the game easier than it already is and how can you distinguish between the skillful and lucky players when anyone can clear a table with 2 shots and carry...

just keep the rules how they are the carry is gd i think and because it helps the defensive player we will have the offensive player wanting it back.

yes you do though because it gives you a second chance which is totaly idiocy lmao , how is it skillful if you can pot all the easy ball then miss the hard one but because of the carry its probably left over the pocket for your "second chance" shot ha tell me thats not ridiculous, the games far too easy as it is and the reason most of the best players lose so many games is sometimes because of bad play yes, but if you ask them theyll tell you its because one little mistake and that stupid carry rule comes in enabling even the most primative of people to clear up...

I don't think it would be that hard 2 make an option of playing ever 1 shot or 2 shot carry.

and there was a farmer I used to deal with. very tight with his money. he used to have a big bucket where he would put all his signed cheques for his suppliers. at random he would pick one out once a week and send it. when i asked when i would get paid he pointed at his bucket and said 'your cheque isnt in the bucket yet'.

No. The 2 shot rule enables weaker players to have a better chance against stronger players.

A 1 shot carry rule would benefit the stronger players and make new/weaker players lose more and therefore not enjoy it so much.

If you want a 1 shot for a foul rule play the US games. Leave the UK game (the longest running and most popular) as it is.

have to agree with squeezy. thats how i have beaten a couple of 800+'s in tournaents recently to win the thing

many ideas have ben sugested to change UK but everytime, most people say that it should be the same as it is the original pool sharks game!
