~Adding call shot.

Meaning you have to call the ball to a pocket. Would eliminate the element of luck that seems to begrudge everybody.

I think i speak for every high ranked player when i say i'm sick of people whacking a ball and potting a random ball to a random pocket.

You have to remember that the game is also trying to simulate the real thing...

if this is an actual rule then you're right it should be implemented... then again if it isn't I don't think we should just start making up rules.

I know when I play in real life I don't nominate a pocket in most instances, except for the black on 8 ball sometimes.

US 8 ball rules are nominate pocket. Same for 9 ball, and call ball.

on;y for last balls in the US game and keep it the same for UK!!

i personally think to many players mix this with game rules from pubs and clubs, this is funky pool, live with it , dont try to take the fun away from the game, i think we all get flukes at some point

I think some ppl take this too serious, its just a game. i agree with adidas and aflumpire, keep the flukes in and above all just have fun.
