It seems that thanksgiving is too give thanks for what people have??
I read on our news that 25% of Americas homeless are war veterans from vietnam,korea and iraq etc,Maybe The American people should give THEM thanks for the sacrifice they gave and offer them some assistance especially from that racist biggot Bush

lol, my parents are those vets, but they are not homeless.. but we do have a vetrans day thats "supposidly" to give thanks to the vetrans that have served. id have to agree that vetrans fallen on hard times should be able to get help easier (ive seen what my parents have had to go threw just for a lil help) there is help out there just a matter of finding it.. its not easy lol.. but thanksgiving is to celebrate (i think ) the indians helping the pilgrims harvest alot of food after that first winter they landed at plymouth rock.. alot of people died well like 40 out of the 100 or so that were originally on the mayflower. the indians helped them harvest ALOT of food so the rest could survive. so pretty much just giving thanks to the indians for help so that we could survive.. ironically killing off most of them years down the road with small pox and modern technology such as guns... blah blah blah that pretty much sums it up lol

yeah im aware of the 400 + year old history but maybe it needs to be adopted to modern times
