I was just thinking about another of my fabulous ideas that could help nick in a few years to improve funkypool!
I know that seperate ideas have been mentioned but what if there was a momentum gage.
The higher your momentum, the more acurate your shots could be, more 'flukeenes' and add some tricks you could do like swerves and jump shots for starters.
So the more momentum you have, the more easily you can pull off that shot. Momentum affects a real pool player so why couldnt we put this in the 'maybe a possible idea for a few years down the track' basket??
And other little things with this like losing momentum if failing to pull off a trick shot and boosting momentum if pulling it off.
Just an idea, hopefully a few people might start liking my ideas again!

I think the 'momentum' idea is pretty poor. If you'tre on good form, you have the consistancy and momentum anyway, no point adding a feature that would just make people who never miss anyway miss even less.

Well, i understand it, and i think its a great idea.
I can't see it being added to funkypool anytime soon though. Hmmmm, could be a feature of a career mode i guess..

Ah, but zan, you now have bought me onto my favourite arguement...
If you could jump and swerve with complete accuracy every time, there wouldnt be such thing as a "game" anymore...
It would be like..."lets see who breaks first"....
Because if you could pot every ball without the trouble of snookers, run outs would be a thing of the past...
And also, those people with playin styles involve a lot of snookers, they would become obsolete...
So for the sake of game play, please do not implememt swerve and chip shots!

the whole swerve and chip thing and what sm was saying about people getting to good. i dont think it would be easy to master and would take a ridiculously long time and if people were that good with swerve they should be able to run out everytime they get a good break.

The introduction of side spin is good enough. (Yes there was a time when you could only spin with top or backspin).
Chip shots aren't a good idea.
Momentum is like saying the worse you play the less chance you have of getting any better. Which is an awful thing to have. Also how would you make the shots more accurate when it's you who aims, not the game, in the first place? You would have to use a line that comes off the balls, like on Yahoo pool, which isn't as fun as it is now on funkypool.
Instead of a momentum gage, a winning streak stat or something similar would be better I think.

Wow, I never knew that.
That must have been odd.
I wouldn't mind seeing swerve shots, but nothing over the top where you can easily swerve to get out of snookers.
