ok as suggested just before katie post maybe you could do a search within certain parameters. ie, people online ranked between 720 and 770 at 8 ball

And I'd like the idea of being able to search the entire table by position (1), so that if you're in, say, 150th position, you should be able to see who the players are above and below you.

But yeah, a table of the top ranking players online at the moment (2) would be a great idea. There'd be something brilliant about being able to say "I'm the best player online at the moment"!

What about when looking for a ranked game on the "find room" menu ? It shows whether or not the table is ranked - the owner - time limit - etc. - Why not show the owners rank as well ?
I think that would limit the games you join and find out it's a newbie, without having to look up the owners profile or anything like that.

yeah but then you can only play people who have set up a room and are waiting for a game. id play more ranked games against higher ranked people if they could just see i was online and pm me like "race to 5" or summat. However what you suggested is also a good idea that i have backed a few times before- this is just an extension of that idea really.
