i think it might be a good decision, i know he isnt english but he knows plenty of players in the squad and knows how to work with them!

he hasnt got no experience for international but neither did mclaren and he isnt doing much too be honest, some of the teams we have played should be a walkover and its been a struggle.

Could Jose be the answer?

He's the most defensive manager out there. What happens when England defend? They Lose!

He was an idiot at Chelsea, he'd act an idiot managing England. We need someone who wants to play attacking football and cares more for the team, rather than self image.

I agree he is to defensive and that is't englands style of play, Although at the minute we don't really have a suitable play except play lower class teams like estonia and ony win 3-0 (when we can win 5 or 6-0) and also teams like russia and lose! when infact if we lay ike we can, shoud be beating them 3 or 4-0.


I personally think that we shoud of took on Sam Alladyce when he was intrested, He still well maybe but now he is at Newcastle i doubt he will leave so early on in his career, so i honesty carn't think of a better replacement than alladyce if he is still intrested

But I dont think Jose would take up the offer for the England job, I think if he was goin to coach an international side, he would aim a little higher than England who aren't in the best of shape at the mo.

we have so much potential for a manager to come in and help us win the world cup shouldnt be that hard. We have always finished in the top 4 of the world cup. But our side is hugely defensive anyway.

I think we need Owen and Rooney to start playing together more and for our players (Lampard etc) to stop putting club before country

Or maybe just get rid of Lampard? He never plays well for England and he defeats the point of having a genius like Gerrard in the team!

And how're England defensive? That's the way they've been made to play due to Sven and his bright ideas. We only play good when we attack a game. Look what we did to Brazil when we attacked them, they couldn't cope and we almost won!

Mourinho would never take the England job. Neither would any other foreigner with half a brain with the way England managers get treated by the media. Someone like Mark Hughes would be good, but I doubt he'd want it either.

On another note, I'm a bit baffled why so many people see reaching the quarter finals of the world cup as underachieving. The way I see it, there are 9 nations with a realistic chance of winning it (Argentina, Brazil, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Holland, Portugal and England), plus 10 or so others that are capable of surprising a few people. Of the 8 that aren't England, at least 5 or 6 of them have better players than we do. How is losing to better teams underachieving? England can win it, but it's hardly a disaster if we don't.

Not qualifying however, now that would be underachieving.
