i recently witnesses a player on the 9 ball on a run the rack and his opponent left surely if the player is still at the table and on a run the rack he should be allowed to continue. views and thoughts about this?

That's the system they introduced on snooker Tally, but i don't know if they plan to bring the same over here.

Your wrong to name and shame mate, as for players leaving the game, this has been brought up before. i think it was suggested that the player at the table will continue untill he misses then the game ends and not by default by the oppenent leaving

sorry adidas for that, its just that when his opponent compiled a great break he left it was very annoying

yeah i brought this up a while ago , i think it would be a very good add on to funkypool

The drawback is if you've got an invite to another tournament and you know you're either going to lose this one or you're playing in the one that's just started. This happens a fair bit to me and I don't like the idea of being trapped when I want to take up an invite. Maybe this can be incorporated? Like if you've got an invite you can leave the room otherwise you have to stay till end of current frame?


Edit - I've just realised this also works if you're only allowed to quit on your turn. That way no run outs from the opponent are halted. I think I've had at least 2 run outs in 8 ball all there for the taking but the opponent left. It is very annoying but only when you're on a run out and in no other circumstance.

Can't say I care too much as long as I get the win on default.

A minor penalty for leaving the game might been in order tho, but would obviously have to be distinguished from network disconnects, which would in turn make it abusable so moot point I guess.

nick will be introducing playing on after opponent has left anyway its a good idea

iv lost two run outs at 8 ball and 1 at uk to people leaving the room- really frustrating when they pm you afterwards and say haha....

I had to forgive one of them tho cos he has a tantrum everytime i beat him and it makes me laugh...

Mate i know u cant be happy, but..... naming and shaming isnt the right choice.

Its part of the game, i suppose if they cant take gettin beat that way they shouldnt play the game.

but they still will play the game.........
