why does my thread with screenshots of how to do all 9 holes at mini golf get capped and deleted when there is other threads showing how to do golden breaks, i think this is unfair.
this is what 1eye(moderator) said when he capped and deleted it "Sorry to interupt you Ab, persoanlly I feel it's best if they figure it out themselves mate. I did discuss this with other mods, and this seems to be the overall feeling. Nice of you to think of that though",
so does this mean from now on people are to figure out gbs themselves too.

ab,i think your thread was capped for the simple reason because you was "spamming" the forum.

I had to figure out my own GB if that helps...



But seriously, mini golf routes you posted have a higher percent of being sucessful than a golden break in an average game.

Every hole is a bit much as well, even if you posted one route for the last hole, it would still help people as most players have their own way of navigating through the courses.

Then again increasing the probability you will achieve a golden break may help to increase your rank.

Mini-Golf tips will help you achieve a lower score, i recognise that but, in my opinion, thats not as significant as helping a player achieve higher rankings through a golden break.

Personally i have always opposed the idea of making screenshots. However, it is up to the user to whether they help out others.

I have got to agree with ab on this, it shows double standards from the mods. They are fine with help for gb's, screenshot's, links to videos etc. A hole in one on hole 9 is a lot rarer than any gb, so what is the difference.

Jeez guys it's only a game, let people figure it out for themselves.

If people wanna know how to do it, i'm sure they can figure it out, it's the nature of the game.

if people wanna figure it out for themselves why do i keep getting asked all the time, anyway thats not the point now, its why gb screenshots and not mini golf, is there a difference, i don't think so.

Ok lets face the fact that they were removed.

There is a fundimental difference between screenshots of how to hit hole-in-ones and golden breaks.

Golden breaks are still subject to the randomisation of the rack. Even the very best techniques are not statistically a decent strategy and skill at the game is required to get to the top of the table.

With golf, however, a big part of the challenge, and fun, is finding the line that works for you.

The work put in, and ab_rfc's skill, is undoubted and to be respected.

If you want to post a youtube clip of a perfect round, that will stay, just like the clips of GB's and runouts.

Basically what Spinner said, slight difference between a screen shot with red lined diagrams showing you a hole in one than a youtube vid! And also the fact that GBS are subject to randomisation makes a big difference.

Sorry if I offended you, I just feel that it's in the interests of the game to let members figure it out themselves.

I agree with abs in this instance purely to do with the reason why it was removed. Pending thats the actual reason. I'm only taking abs word fo it. But as far as I can see there is no difference.

End of the day, we staff members decided it's best if it's not posted as spinner and John referred to.

Comparing Golden Breaks to mini golf screenshots is ludicrous, mainly due to the fact that a GB is pure random.

I'd have to agree with this - I fail to see why the images ab posted would be a problem when posting advice on gbs is not

I note the arguments given as to the difference, but I don't buy any of them. GBs are every bit as important despite any randomization the rack brings to the equation - imo

Out of fear of being banned or having my posting abilities revoked for disagreeing with the moderators, all I can say is that the decision has been made and one has to accept decisions from the powers that be, (thats life), although it is a little harsh!

ul_son this is purely a discussion about the tips given by users on the forum, voicing your opinion (if put across in an appropriate manor) helps add to the debate.
