yeh, i think the UK should stay permanent and have the US marathons every once in a while, or maybe have a vote to see which marathon can stay permanent and the other two can be every once in a while?

idk this may be off topic spinner.. what about a tourny.. best of all 3 types.. us uk and 9 ball.. is that anywhere in the works? as in you would have a chance to play all 3.. like first us, then 9, then uk as the tie breaker ..

What's a reverse marathon? Start off with a race to 5 and when the closing stages come along reduce it to a race to 4 or 3?

Thats been mentioned before, and is a great idea, but does require some alreations to the current system.

We'll bear it in mind, i'd like to see it myself

I like the idea as it gives all entrants a chance to play longer games, and really builds up the pressure towards the final <evil grin>

I would like to see a 9 ball marathon but just not at 3 am, as most people from the UK will be in bed!

this isnt just a uk site tho.. people in the us deserve a fair chance at these marathon games.. im sure they will switch it around once they get everything figured out

I missed the 8 ball marathon coz I didn't read this thread till I finished in the 9 ball - which I won incidentally 8-)

I like the midday/midnight 9 ball tournys coz they're race to 3 and it definitely helps guard against the lucky people who try to sink the 9 with every shot. I'd like to see the race to 2 9ball tournys replaced by the race to 3 as standard, obviously keeping the speed for variety and to give the lucky people a chance!

Just out of interest - what are the time limits on these new marathon games? As I said in that other topic a race to 5 in 9 ball and 3 or 4 in 8 ball shouldn't need much more than half an hour. If some people are slow then they can always use the ranked games for experience because generally slowness and running out of time equates to missing lots of balls and not major tactical battles.
