Why are there speed tournies. they are rubbish. make an 8 ball marathon tournament and change sumthing for the better for once

i like the speed tournemants cause anything can happen in them, espcially 9ball. though i said on other topic that i would like to see a us8ball marathon tournament

speed tournies aren't that bad. I'm personally rubbish at them, i find marathons and normal tournies alot easier to win. The key is to be very consistant, one loss and your out. You may think they're rubbish, but for some player's they're a quick way to earn a tourny win without having AGES inbetween round's to wait.

I like them for the same reasons above especially when im on a strict schedule and you know it will be finished i an hour ot rangin between 1 and half to 2 hours

Speed tourneys were introduced due to the success of trials.

There are always requests for more of them.

If there is suffecient demand maybe more marathon tournaments can be introduced in future.

Whilst all opinions are welcome, please remember to be sensible and include reasonings and possible solutions to the issues you raise.

"they are rubbish" says more aabout yourself than the issue

personally i dont like speed tournys cos they are easy to get beat by a fluke tho i can see why they are a good idea.

marathon us 8 will be comin soon i reckon as the uk8 has been a success (bar the time it starts and finishes)

I reckoned there should be a 9 ball marathon and at the final last game first to 7

I would personally like to see US8ball marathons and US9 ball marathons

I actually agree with this too. I always want to participate in a Marathon tourny, but the ones we do have are always at a bad time for me.

Speed tournaments are great! Breaks up the flow of normal tournaments which is nice.

im with you here katie, the 11pm uk marathon is no good to me either i leave for work at 11.45 lol, the only way to please everyone is to have them spread over the course of the day, all players from all countries will then get there chance to play in a marathon torny then

I'm all for more marathon tournys but I think there's ample time already for more games. The only drawback would be waiting once you're done especially if you get a bye.

Honestly, I've played soooo many tournament games on this and I think only once did it come close to running out of time and that was because the other person kept not responding for ages.

Races to 4 should be easy to get done inside half an hour for both 8 and 9 ball.
