Happens to me sometimes when I'm running other programs, or downloading updates!
More than likely your computer or internet connection, if it's the sever this end, then lots of people would of been thrown of, not just one!

sounds like a browser error and is definitely not an issue with funkypool.

Sounds like a bug in either your web browser or OS, might be related to the funkypool java script or not, no idea
What I *have* seen is that eg. firefox self-updates tends to reset all connections, but never seen it actually close windows. No idea what IE does tho.

nothing to do with the java script pal.
simply would have been an error with your browser as i said.
for future reference try not to open too many windows or programs as this can overload your ram and lead to these circumstances.
hope this has helped

I doubt it too, but no way to be as sure as you are, unless you know exactly what browser and build he is running and have previously confirmed that to work ok with the *current* version of the FP game.
I do agree tho, by all means, that the problem is far more likely to be located in the browser or other applications he was running at the time - I just like to point out that we lack data to exclude the game as a factor as well.

the same has just happended to me while i was in tournament (6pm us9 speed), though i was sent to chat room.
this has happended three times now (all sent to chat room) and like wolves i dont really like abandonded stats. (the two uk8 were me cos i left for us9 tournament)
im up to date with java, i use ie7, nothing else was running and nothing was downloading.
it was only the first round but its not the point. what if like quick_pot it was a final. geez i would be mad
any help or suggestions at what it might be and is it just 9ball?

Did you by any chance close a PM window _wolvesdude_?
This is a relatively common occurance with Firefox (which randomly closes no matter what you're doing), but i've only seen it once in IE.
One thing you can do is clear your browsr history including downloaded program files, then do a windows update, reboot, and try funkypool again.
Sometimes, after a game update, the cache'd version of funkypool conflicts with the online parts (dont mean to patronise, trying to stick to laymans terms!) and causes problems. The above will ensure a clean, new version is used.

it must be something to do with the 9 ball tourney, must be a glitch in it or summit, because like lise said if it was to happen in finals i would be well mad, plus i dont like abandond stats as it looks messy..

happened a few times to me, firefox just shuts down then when i tried openeing it it said it's already running. <_< abandoned stats make me cry

Thats normal for Firefox, it rarely shuts down properly even from a crash
(you can right click the taskbar to bring up the task manager and shut it down from there)
Can i ask anyone who experiences this problem to contact a moderator as soon as you get back on so we can check what has happened.
Getting the info to Nick will help him find any problems.

i usually play via msn favs rather than IE or firefox (or is msn same as IE?)
I never had a problem

For all practical purposes, yes it is.
And, while in danger of derailing this topic entirely, I'd recommend FF over IE *any* day, including for this game. I've generally experienced way less problems with forefox compared to IE which is one of the more buggy products ever to hit the market.
