were talking ABOUT UK8 NOT US9 tho!!!!
It would still be easy to pot on the uk8 table if sim idea to spinners table was introduced.
If anything it would be easier !!

all 3 game types should be on same table in my opinion, us 8 ball and uk you have to pot the same amount of balls, with one ball remaining at the end (the black ball in both types!!), there are 2 different sets of colours in both types (red & yellows, stripes and dots!!), thats why i reckon it should be played on the same table as it has similarities apart from the pocket sizes, us 9 ball is completely different lol compared to us 8 ball and uk lol

thats not arcade snooker because you can still pot a ball into middle pocket, by rolling it alonmg the cushion.
this is a reply to psmon asking if it needs a make-over not a new table! it exactly the same as uk now, just had a face lift. thats what this thread is about, not about how easy or hard it is just about the face lift that psmon asked for which was the original thread, which got taken over by this talk. so maybe thats why spinner has made this thread, to show what the uk table will look like with a MAKE-OVER not a new table which will make the game harde!, its exactly the same just had a bit of spinner surgery lol
knackerd after that

Let me make this extremely clear.
THE GAMEPLAY, TABLE AREA, POCKETS AND RULES WOULD STAY EXACTLY THE SAME!
Anyone mentioning any of those points will be completely ignored as they are totally different subjects which have been debated many times before.
Here is the very rough example i posted on the other thread, to help emphasise the kind of thing being suggested;
take a long hard read wolvesdude think there is something your not getting.....
infact read it twice to be on the safe side!

Anybody else think the UK8 table is looking abit out dated compared to the US tables??
Was wondering what you would think about giving the UK8 table abit of a face lift, Nothing would be changed table size pocket size would all stay the same.Just a nice finish to the table like the US tables
Anyone else think this would be nice?

ok, i think were all knackered now, no-one is going to win this arguement/debate lmao, i just think the table we got now could be made better and more competetive, but if peopl have such a problem with the idea of that then that speaks volumes for there ability on here when on a harder table, anyone can win on uk, and thats what i find irritating lol.. theres im done lol

Lets make the football world cup more interesting... if we add another goal and put another team on the pitch at the same time as the other two surely it would make it more competative?

lets make the footy goals 15ft by 25ft ft so the poorer teams have got more of a chance of scoring, because thats what the uk table pockets are like, giving poorer players the chance to win by fluking shots and winning games they shouldnt of won..

By making it harder it would become less competitive as there would be fewer players of a high standard at the game. Also, if you have any problems about the ability of players of UK 8 ball play anyone who who's been ranked 1st on there, you will notice that these people use the funky pockets and other parts of the game to their advantage, which adds a whole new dimension to the game and makes it unique and challenging.
A facelift may look nice, but I dont think its needed. The pockets would look silly on a newer table but as it is now they make it look like an old arcade version and they suit it.
I for one hope that the site never changes the UK table.

why is then if this point is correct, why is 9 ball is know to be the flukiest game? when we all know that game has smaller pockets!
<EDIT> as for the point of the appearance why make unnecessary work for nick when his time could be used to make the game better instead of looks?

If they change the Uk table some people will stop playing but a simple layoput change as per spinners pic and psmons suggestion wouldnt harm anyone.
whether nick wants to do it is another thing. As mich pointed out he probably has better things to do.
While i agree with sanka and wolvesdude about an 8ball uk pro table as spinner wrote at the start of the thread this is not a thread discussing that.
maybe one of you should create a new thread suggesting this and then we can have another intresting and friendly debate lol

Yet again this topic has turned into a 'lets totally change the uk table' discussion!
This is not the topic of conversation!
Please read before you post here, saying as people are typing, i'm pretty sure you can read what has previously been said!
By the way flukes happen in all of the games, get over it, everyone flukes, it doesn't matter how good you are, and everyone has won games due to it, including the complainers. Its part of the game!
