By all means make another thread to debate any change you think may be good. Thats exactly why these forums are here, and are a huge part of how the game has evolved as it is today.

I have always agreed with Squeezy (as do most longer term players from the pool sharks days) that the core table shouldn't be changed.

However, i accept _psmon_'s very valid point that it now looks dated compared to the newer US tables, hence this thread..

Hardly.. it just took one user a while to click in to what the thread involved. Which other users were trying to explain. However if a user makes a point surely it should be answered.

To be honest it looks a lot fresher, give UK a nice little makeover and i think this should be used.

UK 8 ball is unique, we all love it at the end of the day...and without that table funkypool wouldn't have taken off in it's early years!

So show a bit of respect for it, and if you do happen to dislike the table or it's pockets...play US.

Whats the point in making any changes to a table thats been there for so long? I love the table, I think altering it slightly or changing it completely would spoil what is a wonderful dimension to funkypool - if people dont like the table, then dont play uk 8 ball - there are far more people who enjoy uk 8 ball and play that solely than those who play the us games solely! It shouldn't matter that the table "looks outdated", its a great game and it would be a great shame and disappointment to me and so many other users if it was altered at all!


However...I do like the idea of a "uk 8 pro" game, and I dont think it would suffer the same fate that the us variety had! Something along the lines of the arcade snooker table would be fantastic

Yeah if you dont like 8 ball uk play US pool games!

this has been goign on for ages i really have had enough with the 8 ball uk new look. if you dont like it leave fp or play us.

A facelift for the UK 8 ball table would definitely be welcome, and at the very least make a version (similar to the current one if needs be) that scales properly to large resolution full size, like the other games do.

Ermmmm I think it should have pink felt!!!! or red I could live with red but I think ppl would have trouble seeing the red balls!!!!!!!!

lol where i play pool we have red felt and red balls and i can see them just fine... but i think pink felt is the way to go... and purple and blue balls
