metallica better than megadeth!

OMG, are you serious?
Sorry, metallica (IMO) are utter mince.

megadeth lived in the shadow of metallica for most of their career

Metallica were good up to ...and justice for all. The black album was ok then they turned into a pop band with kettle drums. Megadeth still have a raw and heavy sound. Metallica are trying to be like all the nu-metal bands. Time they called it a day i think.

Back to the subject of the thread though, Mr Mcq, as you are scottish, you really need to put The Proclaimers on your player lol

Hmm...bit difficult this. I'm a metal expert , but I don't listen to much rock. Let me know if you like any, so I can recommend others. I mostly stayed away from heavier stuff.

... and shame on whoever said Metallica are better than Megadeth. Dave Mustaine wrote most of Metallica's best material before he got shafted by Lars.

'Ride The Lightening' and 'Kill Em All' are all the Metallica I need (although 'Master' and 'Justice' are decent too). Megadeth have at least 8 really good albums, most of which are better than anything Metallica put out other than 'Ride The Lightening' (which, as I already pointed out, Mustaine wrote most of anyway).

Seems I missed Dreadnaught off my list. They're a bit more heavy rock than metal, so you might like them.
