I've been getting some "abuse" which I think is racist.
It's because I live in Wales, UK.

I've being getting: you welsh sheep *blocked*
You welsh *blocked* Etc.

I find this very racist and I think the people abusing should get banned or even a IP ban.

I've sent complaints but I still see people that has been abusing still playing and trying to start arguments with other users.

I would love to name and shame but it would only get removed by a moderator so I'm not going to bother.

Would this class as racist in your prospective?

I get that all the time mate, just ignore them. I don't think it's racism, it's just the stereotype that some people choose to have of the Welsh. I'd just tell you to rise above it mate, works for me .

As for the complaint though, I think it would have to come under "Unprovoked continuous offensive language" (if they repeatedly abuse you).

Hmmmm, i should tread carefully here. I have a laugh and a joke with my welsh friends on FP about the stereotypes of the Welsh, however if people are doing it to be nasty and derogatory, then i think they should be banned. I'm sure if you've reported the people, Admin will deal with it in time.

I suggested using the contact us button to enquire about anything!

Staff at Funkypool do our best to make your time on here as enjoyable as we can and Admin do look into every complaint they receive. Please only do what we advice which is ignore them and send complaint. All we can do unless we see it.

Although race can mean country as well as ethnicity we do treat these areas differently.

Rivalry between the home nations, and between other "Western" countries, made in jest will not face an automatic boot! A joke on this level is not equivalent to something like n***** or p*** (self censored). These blocked words have been used over years to dehumanize a racial group.

However excessive and/or harassing comments are not welcome. We will treat this as offensive behaviour.

Ok I said I've sent a complaint I "did" ignore them and its been a few days and I don't see them banned and they're still abusing. so it seems like nothing has been done no warning or anything.

Remember that it takes the admin team time to read every complaint/query sent to them, and to reply or act accordingly.

They have or will read your complaint, and then decide what to do for the good of the site and it's users.

I guess it could be on the borderline, but I wouldn't put it in the same group as skin colour or religion. I certainly don't see this kind of abuse as racism, just normal abuse that you see day to day.

Still...It shouldn't be tolerated one bit more than racism.

Underground - ALL complaints are taken seriously and dealt with, but you have to give time. A few weeks is resonable, not days.

Harrassment of any kind is take seriously and dealt with appropriately. A simple look at the amount of banned users proves this.
