I think it's a good idea Snoman, but pretty much all current events are discussed on various threads in General Chat anyway.

As you've given this the title 'Current Events Forum' then this may as well be exactly that!

Moved to General Chat (as per Tidnab's and Madmike's suggestion) for that possible purpose.
