After not losing a frame for about 20 games this was rather annoying when it kicked me out of the tourny.

As I took a shot, the game window was replaced by some vista checking...thing?

Has this happened to anyone else? I do have a pop up blocker on my pc aswell.

I said when we talked about this earlier that Crucial Tech rang a bell. They are running an ad on the site at present.

I know you're sure you didn't click it as you were taking a shot, but I'd be really surprised if the ad wasn't the reason in some way.

Looks to me like intrusive spyware, maybe you clicked it a long time ago and it installed something?

the only two possibility are:

You have malware installed on your computer

You accidentally clicked the ad while taking a shot.

Actually the former is far more likely as all ad's in-game are programmed to open in a separate window.

I have had advertisments before, But isn't near as annoying as that one. The ones i got was little windows ones. "Cid" - Thats what they were, proberly the company? But as others have said, it might be adware or could be something you installed a while a go. I'm not really an expert at this sort of thing, but just doing the scan which scaley has provided should solve it.

Each to his own and all that, but i really advise against using ad-aware since it is effectively spyware itself.(but if you must DONT get it from download.com! go to the proper site to avoid the malware such sites propogate),

Windows defender is a much better option.

However, that does look similar to what happens when some add-on popup blockers are installed, they "block" the ad by making it open in the parent window instead.

(Use the built in IE one to avoid that)

Also, clicking on an advert on another page (I notice you had the forum open) can often open it "over" the game.

quite recently my FP screen has jus went black causing me too reset my computer However the rest of my comp is fine...was wandering could it be a virus inside the site?

It's impossible to get a virus from a website unless you install a program. funkypool does not install anything.

If you have a virus it's because you've been downloading dodgy programs!

However if funkypool is having problems it's worth updating your Java version.
