How about instead of having tournaments at specific times each day, creating the ability for a user to create a tournament at any time?
The tournie would then start as soon as a set amount of people sign up, enabling another tournie to be started.
It may be necessary to limit how many can be created, perhaps 4 an hour....

Obviously only one tournament per dicipline would be open to enter, at any one time.

Maybe the idea of a user creating the tournie is unnecessary, and tournies would just open automatically.

Im sure there would be many more problems involved (weight on the server etc), but the possiblity is there....

Them were taken off the premium link, but there will be alot more features. Possibly tag team matches, where it is two on two.

It's how tournaments used to be created. By moderators at the time.

Don't think its a good idea personaly as I remember having to host them, it could cause a lot of hassle.

Good point by squeezy there. It put a lot of pressure on the moderators, let alone the server.

Although I like the idea of being able to play in any tournament at any time, I'd prefer the current setup instead of the increased lag caused by numerous tournaments running at the same time.

You'd also have to look at how these tournaments would affect your stats. Add the wins to your 'tournament wins' stat (Which would significantly lower the amount of people entering the current scheduled tournaments)? Or add a new 'user-created tournament wins' stat (Which would just be confusing.....well for me anyway ).

Tournys happen every hour anyway, there really isn't a need for any more in my opinion.

Agreed Ste, can't think of a bigger waste of money the things on offer wouldn't make the game better for me.
