Antivirus - AVG. No competition there.

Anti-Spyware - this may sound nasty, but the best spyware defence is to be careful browsing and never install anything from a website unless you're sure you need it. Windows Malware removal (part of the monthly update) should be enough, but if you have problems Windows Defender is the best anti Spy/Adware for windows machines.

Media Player 11 is the first player to make me move away from winamp. Absolutely awsome library function, proper mp3 support, and great tools.

For windows I say Itunes is fantastic, in a league of it's own.

AVG is rubbish it downloads a new update everyday and i still can't find the firewal

Seriously, it might be ok if you have an iPod, but if you dont (like me), its useless. Never got it to play an mp3 so cant comment on its abilities there.

Poolcue2k6 - AVG is an Antivirus program. Nothing to do with a firewall! And if you have an Antivirus prog which doesn't update at least once a day you're in trouble

AVG is Ok. I wouldn't shout home about it lol.

How can you make a sweeping statement like that? It dazzles me. I don't need to explain what it does. Nor that it's the most widely used media manager.
