I'm tired of the Random Shots. They're getting on my nerves. Every time my opponent doesn't play up to the time limit, the Random Shot that happens, pots a ball for him. I've just been eliminated from a tournament because of it. The guy didn't play and the random shot potted a ball for him and he potted the black. So I lost. I think there shouldn't be Random Shots. It should be simpler: the person loses her turn to play.

random shots are in place incase your oppenent isn't at the computer etc but the point of random shots are so the game can play on as if your oppenent was taking a shot.

TOTALY RIGHT!! I asked this same thing a few weeks ago and i got snubbed.

In any other pool game on the internet that has 2 real players, if time runs out, its "ball in hand" to the opponet.

Why cant Funkypool be the same???

Especialy in tornaments where the steaks are high. If he had one ball then the black for eg, the other ball could have been sank then he just gets back to sink the black!!

maybe the randomness of the shot should include random spin and random speed

The important thing to remember is that when a random shot occurs it does not mean the opponent is at fault.

Most common i expect would be lag, which is outwith anyone's control.

At the end of the day, the chances of a random shot potting a ball that your opponent would have missed will be slim, and i've yet to see a random shot clear the table despite seeing hundreds of players do so.
