Im not sure how official nick is trying to make this site but..the us 8 ball rules have a few flaws.The one that Makes me mad the most is the scratching on the 8ball which is a loss ne us 8 ball rules but here it is just a foul..i here is a link to the official us 8 ball rules for the amature champion ship but it alsy applies to the pros http://www.poolplayers.com/usam/2005usam/rules.html

well there's many posts about how the rules on funkypool different for every game, but in a sense, thats exactly what makes this website funky! we've lost the funky forum colors, but hopefully we won't lose the funky rules! i think the rules are a fun twist to the game, and make it more challenging to master! just embrace it, i think if the rules weren't so funky, it would get a bit boring... good observation though chyme

9e. When playing the 8-ball, a player scratches the cue ball. He loses whether or not he pockets the 8-ball.

well... i was just letting it be known..seems to me nick tried to follow the actual rules of the game so again i thought id just lay down some info...its a pain tho when the person that scratchs comes back to win lol..

yea as brighty said thats what makes this funky beecause on 9 ball if you pot it you lose but on this it gets respotted!! thats what makes this web kool

I'll have to agree with chyme, (through clenched teeth) LOL, I play US 8 ball here in leagues, and yes, that's the rule.

I wouldnt call them problems - there are quite a few differences, mostly because this is an online game so there are some things that dont work for purely practical reasons.

A good example is the Golden Break - often debated, but still one of the unique features that makes funkypool different and addictive.
