Firstly, i know Nick said any new thread about the layout etc would be deleted but it appears that the main one has gone too!

Like most users i have slowly come round to the new color scheme, but something still bothered me, however i think the solution is right "close to home" so to speak..

I was over on funkysnooker and realised just how slick and professional the forums are there. I dont just mean looks wise either. I may not post there, but the layout is so nice and tidy, easy to read and follow, and just overall better!

In short, the only fine tuning required for Funkypool now is to adopt the funkysnooker forum layout and you have the perfect site

but but but..the forum is so cute, and who says funkypool has to be all boring and professional, its funky and i like it

Professional isnt boring! Its the complete opposite..

Seriously have a look over to Funkysnooker, now THATS funky!

I have to say I prefer pool's forums to snooker's. Snooker's look a little dated in comparison.

Despite having been there many times, i was just hit by the "wow this is cool" factor when i looked over to snooker, whereas these forums now have an old kinda generic look.

I know its a minor thing to many but I'm sure Nick would rather have casual users get the "wow" factor.

I think the ideal would be a hide avater option which could therefore use the whole space for the forum posts (spinner, I assume you're just talking about this page?).

That way everyone should be happy?

The old thread just got unstickied, it's down there somewhere!

By the way, the advert to the right was reduced in size by one third width to accomodate more width in the middle (although the main effect was the font size could be increased).

Personally I think these forums look more professional and fun, and the old ones are just a bunch of rectangles (plenty older sites are layed out that way). Maybe it's the colour scheme that's the difference?

i reakon that there should be like a choose your layout option like in gameplay now that would be FUNKY

Ah, sorry for missing the old one! Pet hate of mine and now i'm guilty!

But yeah, although mainly the forum pages (since they're the ones you view most) just the whole site layout on snooker is much better.

I just thought it was a shame for you to be messing about when you had it so perfect on the other site!

Like i said, us regulars are used to it, but the snooker site kinda jumps at you in a "join me i'm cool!" way this one doesn't..

All i got too say is, this layout is far better than funkysnooker as nick says its just a bunch of rectangles. In my opinion this layout sticks out more better colours and the pictures just finish it off with the Funkyness

Also not just forum, perfered the rankings!

If you dont know what i mean i mean the where you clicked to see what you had.

If you think about it, without the pictures, the forum looks pretty basic and not much different to snooker.

The colour is similar (blue and white with black text) only it's a little lighter on here and the corners of the rectangles have been curved.

Nick can you scrap a few inches on the left column for seeing the posts? it's just blank space after all..
