Just a suggestion, why doesnt the home page stipulate exactly which version of java, shock/flash player etc. you need to run this software correctly. A simple solution that would solve a lot of problems i think....

Thats actually an excellent idea elektrik.
A quick version check could display what versions you are running, and then a suggestion that if you have any problem, which version(s) you should try.
That could help out a lot of casual browsers who dont bother trawling through the help/forums and just write the game off.

Good idea, just added a small box with the minimum Java requirements.

tell ya what we are missing (trivial i know) on the main page of the forum where it says 'forum' it isn't a link anymore. it just mean i have to refresh the page instead of clicking the old link. I know it's silly and not life threatening but it would be nice to have that link again
