Is it runing Windows XP? The system restore program is excellent for issues like these.
(start/accesories/system tools/systems restore) just pick a time before ou started having the problems..
The main reason Laptops seem more vunerable is that they usually dont get left on 24/7 to give the antivirus a chance to run full scans and update regularly. Other than that they are exactly the same as desktop computers..

Spinner - Yep it is running Windows XP, evrything else works on it too i think it just closes the system down whenever i try to connect to my wireless.
So if i do the system restore to the day before i got the virus then you're saying it shud get rid of the virus and it'll be working like it was before it happened?
I only ask these things cos i have absolutely no idea how 2 fix them myself

My PC isnt on 24/7 but as soon as im on line its sorts it out for me...........i also do a scan to make sure.......my thoughts on it are....dont rely on software to make everything reliable, you have to make the effort yourself...in other words....double check it......broadband is more vunerable to rubbish, so we all need to take more care

And your point is?
LOL, sorry dude, just kidding.
You make the point i tend to assume too much. NO software can circumvent user stupidity (Like clicking YES because a browser window says you have a virus or need a system scan)
Be sensible, if YOU dont need something, dont install it cause a website thinks you do! Do you buy everything you see advertised on TV?

Yes and they have used the same concept as ewido for their new product so therefore ewido was better or otherwise they wouldnt have bought them
