I know this isnt game related but this seems the most appropriate forum to suggest this in.

I've always been for Nick and co to concentrate on the actual game, however i believe a simple forum search would be benificial both to those with problems and those of us who like to help.

Hopefully it would help cut down on all the duplication. It is understandable newbies simply create new topics as looking through the forum for help must seem quite daunting now!

It would be nice if the search could be narrowd to forum subjects (Game Queries only for example)

I dont really get you mate, but it is you so its probly a good idea.

What i mean is that, for example, instead of all these "Sky ad" threads, all saying the same thing, people could search the Game Queries forum for "Sky ad lag" and see the threads already created without having to look back through the forum manually.

This also means people offering help dont have to constantly re-type or copy advice, and would keep all conversation in fewer, more relevant, threads.

Well it's there if they need it.

Try it yourself, if you have a problem with the game, type in for example "lag" and posts will come up with posts with a link to the thread provided.

Doesn't exactly tell you everything spot on, but there are enough threads about certain problems so i don't see what your idea is about.

I can see where your comin from spinner, an its a good idea methinks. Just might be a bit tricky to do as people put some well weird titles for threads

My idea was to make it a "Forum Search". For some reason experience tells me people dont use a "site search" to search forums. Weird, but thats homosapiens for you!

There is a "search site" option, but most users would not associate that with the forum, or turn to it if they had a problem.

I suggested a small "Search Forum" box at the top of each forum section (like Game Queries) to encourage people to search for help/information before posting to help avoid duplication...

That's a very good idea.

Right now you can search across all forums, but I think a forum specific search would get much more useful results.
