yeah what id do is look at the ball and the pocket, what ur doing is like looking at the floor when ur driving

But still, he was spamming. Put it this way, it's a distraction, someones done it to me and i'll agree it is really annoying.

What to do is, hide the chat section by moving the game window down at the bottom of the screen so that it hides the chat section.

I've no doubt it happened, but you can't come on to the forum making a fuss about it to be honest. Use 'send complaint' and we can see the whole conversation and take any action necessary. If a person is doing this to you then the chances are he's done it to many others, so it would be very clear what the intention is behind it.
