I, by no means, am an expert on the rules. But earlier today in a 9ball match i was playing someone and the shot was on the 8 ball, which was frozen on a rail (meaning the ball was touching that rail). My opponent shot softly at the 8 and failed to touch another rail with it. It was my understanding that if a ball is frozen on the rail, it must either pocket or hit a rail thats different from the one it is frozen to or it is a foul. Dont know if thats still a rule or not just thought i should bring it up.
