Would it be possible to have an area of the forum or a game chat room, for over 18's only?

As i've been reminded this is a family site, but some of the family are over 18! and they don't wish to talk about certain things infront of younger people as it may be innappropriate or seem offensive.

Maybe even a youngsters room for under 14's or something too

I think it's a gr8 idea, but I can't think of anyway of ensuring the users are over 18 without bringing in more stringent registering.

As part of the premium package, it'd work fine, because credit card details would be involved.

not a good idea. . cause a yougster could wander into the room and see all of us 18+ casuall slander chat lol not very good for a youngster to see. . .

exactly why one is needed, if there could be a room for over 18's only and i think it would require credit card details or sumthin to prove it then it would give somewhere for older users to go and it makes sure younger users can't wonder in, i dont mean a simple chat room just called 'over 18's' with no way of monitoring it.

There are plenty of age verification options out there, and even the standard "enter or leave" system is enough to cover the site legally.

The logical way would be to include it with the premiuim version, as i'd imagine most of the serious users over 18 would be more than happy to contribute to the site..

I remember going to the snooker club with my Dad and winning a 1/2 bottle for coming runner up when i was 14. So i wouldn't report you for having a chat with us oldies!
