Just been reading over the new official rule books (1st Jan 2006) the club has aquired, and there is an interesting little change to 8-ball (all types):

4. Rules of Eightball
4.10 Choice of Group
If the groups have been determined and the player mistakenly shoots at and pockets a ball of
the opponent's group, the opponent must call a foul on him before he takes his next shot. If he fails to do so, the player automatically takes over the group of balls (solids or stripes) at which he has
been shooting during this inning.

What a cracking rule! Cant wait to use that

I know it would require quite a bit of new coding to impliment here, but a "call foul" button wouldn't slow the game down atall...

if the other guy pots one of your balls u have 2 call the foul or he can jsut carry on potting ur balls and you have to pot his

Me 2. I don't like that at all. Be a good one to try in the pub when your oppo has potted 6 balls and you notice he's staring out the window tho...

Got me to thinking. There are a few real-life rules that would be quite easy to impliment here, however i totally agree that FunkyPool rules should remain.

Maybe sometime down the line we could have "real pool" tables, like the reverse of what has happened on the snooker site with the arcade version being introduced..

I'm sure i'm not the only real-life pool enthusiast on here!

i got a question. why on uk 8ball do you have 2 shots for the black? when i have played real pool obismally i might add, there is only one shot on the black.
