I just played one of the toughest US 8 ball tourneies ever.
1st round, an Intermediate, cant remeber name won 2-0.
2nd round bye..lucky me.
3rd round the infamous professional potsmoker. He smoked me the first game. 2nd and 3rd games, I won them decisively.
Then drew professional viruoso7 in the Quarter final. Very very tough game, but we were both missing a TON of shots. Not very often that virtuoso7 has close to 10 chances at the table and doesn't run it. I won that 2-1, in a very close match.
Then I drew phillydude in the Semis. That match went a bit better, cleaning up 2-0.
In the final I meet ibeatubaby (newbie). I figure this should be a walk. Well ibeatubaby walked all over me!!! Running the table every change he/she got.

So after beating 2 professionals an Inter and an Adept, I lose to a Newbie in the final 1-3. That Newbie played better than anyone else though, so they did deserve the win!!

yeah ibeatubaby is quite good, maybe a good professional in the future (on this game)

you find that if they are pro in uk 8 they will be pretty decent in us 8, i was a newbie in us 8 a week ago, but pro in uk 8, now a week down the line im a pro (just) in us 8
