Maybe we could have the parctice table with smaller pockets to get more accuracy.

surely if u play on the same table..practising then surely you would get the accuracy right eventually...i can't seem to find a reason for a new table with smaller pockers. Alternitively you could use the 8ball us or 9ball us tables as the pockets are smaller and accuracy is the key

Er, the pockets on the Us tables are WAY bigger than on the UK table!
But for a more restricted version of the UK table you could practice on the Arcade Snooker one.
However, remember any increase in potting accuracy would be offset by a lack of improvement of positioning... (and avoiding in-off's)

the pockets on the us tables are way bigger than those on the uk ones????????
seriously spinner do you say stuff randomly without thinking??? i wunt say there were WAY bigger, practically same size, but u need more accuracy with us 8 n 9 ball, whereas uk 8 ball is easier to pot balls!!

Ok, the actual pixel size depends on how big you have the window, but i'm talking relevant to the ball size...
We wont argue again, but some people find one table easier, others find the other.. Win-Win either way!

can i just say that my uk table is huge and my us tables are tiny compared. i have tried re sising the window but even with it full screen the table is really small compared. I think it may depend on what browser you are using as spinner's uk table is smaller.

Me too beannie. Massive Uk table, US about two thirds the size of it.
Think a lot depends on what I.T. experts call 'Spinner's Perspective.' You see, Spinner sees things differently from all other people and has INVERTIST TENDENCIES. For instance - if Spinner is watching TV, he has to either turn it upside down or stand on his head. Only then can he make sense of the images.
Similarly, his pool tables are back to front, his PM window appears BEHIND his pool table and he can only see the BACK of his head when he looks in a mirror.
Best left well alone, Beannie. Best left well alone.

LOL..
Well, played 7 different people today in the OVER 800 survey, all over 800 rank, and all have thier PM windows appear behind the game window...
But i digress..
I dont understand people having a small US table, since it scales with the window and will always be the full size, whereas the UK table is limited to only about 800x600 pixels.

Home page > help > the table size is incorrect > here
This will open up the old version of the UK table, its a smaller table and the only one I use to play UK pool on. I have to play US pool full screen otherwise you simply can't aim, an thats what I blame for all the dodgey shots i do in it because the different size of table changes the angles
Most of the above isn't true as I just can't pot and am making excuses...
With regards to the training table, a good way to practise is allow yourself 1 miss (including the break) and pot all the balls in one go. Continue doing this untill you can do it at least 75% of the time. Either that or just play more games and practise against other players. Pocket size is fine and shouldn't be changed.
