CM Yaya Toure (Ivory Coast).
S Carlos Tenorio (Ecuador).
S Mohamed Kader (Togo).

Can't argue with that team, good selection mate.

You cant do this when most the teams have only played one game!

I just was interested to see who other people had been impressed by from the teams' opening 1 or 2 games.

Ayala for Argentina was good. Riquelme needs to go in your team too. He was the match winner for Argies. David Villa was good and is a great player too. Spain look very strong. Czech Republic are too, rosicky was good as was Poborsky and Nedved.

argentina have impressed me the most, followed by the czechs and ecuador he he he, im sure we need to see all 3 group games though for each team before we judge properly, when you get the games like england v sweden, holland v argentina etc..... thats when it gets interesting

how amazing was cambiasos goal, 24 passes, then a great finish, and ppl say england could win this, we strugle for 3 passes in a row

Argentina are the most impressive team in the world cup thus far. Spain closely behind and then the Czech Rep. England are not looking good at the moment very poor performance last night.

England should make the Quarter Finals and if we avoid Argentina, we may go further, although we need to improve vastly. On the plus side, we've qualified for the second round when we've played to a fraction of our potential and we can play a lot better. And by the way, phillippe, I wasn't that impressed with Riquelme against Ivory Coast, but I have to admit that he and Argentina were awesome today.

Worst world cup XI so far:

I could probably name the England team 1-11, as much as it breaks me poor old heart, but who do you think are the very worst players so far.

My immediate two are Ronaldo of Brazil and Owen, so I have my forward pairing.

In midfield I'd go for Hargreaves, but I don't think he's been on the pitch long enough to show his true worthlessness. That Paraguayan own-goal defender/captain should be in there, if only for his first ten minutes. Oh, and the whole Serbian team for out and out tireless belief they were finished in the 2nd half.

id agree with big ron and most of the england team, but u gota give the serbs some credit, at the end of the day, they were right to beleve they were finished
