During a tournament if you need to answer the door or phone, have a toilet break or need to be elsewhere there isn't much you can do if you've just received an invite.
My idea is that once you have an invite, you can enter the game and then have a 'postpone game' option. This delays the start of the frame by 1 minute.
This option would only apply if used before 2 minutes of that round has past. so if a player has 3 secs to get into the game they can not use this option.
Also with the added time being 1 minute it will only be a maxmimum waiting time of 3 mins for the opposition, which is what it stands at now.
This would enable players to have a quick break during a tourny if they need it, to stop abuse of this feature it could have a limit of 1 per tourny or something simular.
Please post your thoughts

Sounds fair enough, but you can achieve the same by just lenghtening the time you have to accept to the full 3 minutes, this should be very simple to impliment i would have thought...

The reason for the 3 minutes to join is to ensure that the tournament runs quickly, increasing that time would be making it worse.
The way that i've said keeps the time the same so the tournament length won't be affected.

I wasnt suggesting increasing the overall waiting time. I thought from the way you worded it that we have less than 3 minutes to accept? (I always accept ASAP so dont know!)
So i was suggesting leaving the invite open for the full 3 minutes then if you dont accept, tough.
That should give you plenty of time to answer the door, the call of nature, the phone, and make a cuppa!

Ahhh i dint make the one bit clear lol
At the moment the invite stays for 3 mins then goes just as you said above.
However with the idea i suggested it means that you will be in the room at the end of the 3 minutes (if you entered on 2 mins exactly) this means your opponent will still be playing. This means that you won't lose the round automatically however chances are you will be in a worse off position for the 1st frame.
A 3 random shots and out rule could also be used alongside this in order for the other player to not be playing a random shot all match.
3 minutes is sometimes not enough, i've had to answer the door an fill sumthin in...to come back to see my invite disappear for the final of a tourny as I was about to click it.

yea it happens to me now and again, but i dont think its a problem that can be solved.
like in real life, if u have a tourny to go to at a certain time, you are expected to be there.
but i know this is just a game, i doubt anything will come of this.

Great point mcquiston!
Personally, i frequently ignore the door! However, why cant you talk on the fone while you play?

I do it alot actually. Once I re-wrote the entire works of Shakespeare whilst playing. Multi-task people!

lmao dres.
whats wrong with using the toilet BEFORE the game, remeber what you learn in school people.
i got no suggestions for answering the door etc.
probably after the game, before the next you could have the option to just nip off for a quick sec. but not too long in case both players get D.Q'd.
