Just curious...

I think maybe snooker. For instance, Stephen Hendry has career earnings of £8,007,635, this is before private appearances.

American pool players are also raking in the cash, but not always in the 'official' tournaments, more back room and personal challenge games.

yea it would be snooker i would think nick, the prize money for the pool masters is sumtin like 20/24,000 for a win and the snooker masters is a prize of 40,000 grand and second is 20,000,the world championship winners in snooker get something mad like 250,000 and 125,000 to runner up,not to sure what the biggest prize cash mount is in pool but theres up to 5 million a year to be won in all tournaments in pool

Jeez , easy money! , but do they have to put lots of time into practicing? as I don't exactly follow the sport.

Snooker has big prize money avaliable with 147 breaks and 'highest break in tourny' always offering high prize money on top of where players finish!

I guess american pool would have high amounts of cash avaliable too, because americans never do anything by halfs, so i would guess the american pool championship would have huge prize money.

So i think American 8 ball/9 ball, but its only an educated guess.

I just pulled this from the web:

'In 1996, Earl won the 'million dollar challenge' in Dallas, Texas by running 10 racks in a row. In fact, during the tournament, Earl became the first person to ever run a total of 11 consecutive racks from the break in tournament play. This unbelievable feat earned Earl $1,000,000 and the name'The Million Dollar Man'

I hope that answers your question Nick, and lets hope Earl does not find this site!!!
