I think it would be a good idea to allow moderators to moderate the forum. It would mean that inappropriate posts could be spotted and deleted more quickly and also would allow the admins more time to sort out any more technical updates/problems etc.

I don't know why that isn't in place already :-s

Well said andy! derp, emacs and squeezy for the matter. They did nout wrong and really represented the site better than some of the current mods.

Jacko1200. Nick, Phase and Afey are admin's not moderators. Squeezy was talking about letting moderators have this ability too, mainly as they are on more often than admins as they have alot of other things to take care of, with snooker, contact us etc...

Maybe have in game moderators and forum moderators?

Just merge mods and asdmins into one, theres not much point having the two separate things. They could be called "modins" or "admirators"

Yep true, i liked the names though!

The difference between moderators and admin is that admin can do permanent changes (eg ban users, alter users stats, delete threads etc), whereas mods look after the in game area eg catching cheating / swearing etc.

Forum moderating ability will be allowed for mods though, but the system needs to be changed first. Specific mods will be able to moderate particular forums (similar to other forum boards).

Still think there should be more admin's on funkypool. Four isn't really enough considering Simon is on e-mail duty, Phase is running snooker. Nick is trying to fix everyones little problems. Afey told us a while back he couldn't be as active as he used to be so that isn't his fault. The site really does miss Nicknax alot more than some members think. The lad did alot of work for the site and really should debate becoming an admin again. I know people give him a hard time, sometimes he asks for it sometimes he doesn't but funkypool needs him as an admin. Just my opinion.

Other things that moderators should be able to do in my opinion are:

Recreate Tournaments that have crashed.

Have a moderator only tournament, to reward them for the work they put in. (maybe admins too).

I thought nicknax stepped down by choice? You can't ask nick to promote him against his own will

nicknax said he would like to be promoted again, would help the site alot i think.

i know this might sound like a stupid idea but y not say like every month hold like an online ballot with who the mebers think should be a mod or even admins and allow pepopel 2 put them seleve forward 4 the mods postions just an idea

Jacko this has been brought up before, i dont see why it cant be done and if a suitable candidate comes up,he/she can be at least considered, if the people who crop up are not suitable, then they can be ignored...

They should be allowed to do more things your right. I really dislike the fact that a tourny that has crashed cannot be re - opened by an mod. As ediss said there probably isn't enough admins to do the job so why don't we give that responsibility to mods. Anyway probs another thing to be looked at.
