Hilll.. Here's a suggestion. Players who lose a game because of a golden break should not see their ranking be reduced. It's a little unfair, isn't it? The same with run-outs.

Nice suggestion, and i totally agree with it, if i am on the right wavelength as you and the winner still gets ranking points, then it could work out.

If somebody performs a Golden Break or Runout against me i am pleased for them.

I don't mind losing the rank either to be honest, although i'm sure i would change my mind if i was on the receiving end 10 times a day.

I just think a win is a win, regardless of the method used to achieve it.

Yes, i have to agree - a run out shows a players class and ability to position and pot well. And a golden break is just pure luck and ive not been on the reciving one yet!! and i want one!! hehe

Spot on, whether you win by a 7 ball stomping, a close safety game won on the last ball, an easy win, a lucky win, it's all about getting over the finishing line by potting that black.

Without a little bit of luck the game would be much less interesting. Given time though, luck evens itself out (unlike refereeing decisions!).
