Hiya Nick, can we use this thread to erm..lets say *name and shame* other uses??
I had someone pm me saying the most filthy things
after telling them to GROW UP, they decided to come in same room as me and saying things in there!! To send a complaint would be good i know, but ppl just create new names etc.
The reason i think they should be named is for mods/admins to keep an eye out, i can handle it but there are some younger ppl on this site( i'm 21 but other user didnt know that).
No abuse,snide remarks etc....just a beware of X user should be posted.
What do others think???

maybe a record of there IP address can be logged when a compaint is made???
(logged by admin i mean) then changing names wont matter if they are using the same computer.....naming and shaming is a good idea in theory, but in practise it can be a malicious tool for people to say anything about anyone guilty or not

Hmmmmm fair comment, you can usually tell tho those who are just being malicious(they tend to go overboard! a dead giveaway)

I agree. It would be much better to let your friends know through a private message and use the contact us form.

The other option would have the forum filled with accusations, and like tidnab said, not all of them would be based on truth.

I checked my iggy list the other day and found that out of the 12 or something users i had ignored, 5 were now banned users. It was a simple move to iggy on the 1st sign of abuse, and later proven that these people 'do' get dealt with.

What if, whoever is giving me the abuse, is a friend who is fine with you tho??
And ignoring is fine, but when they follow you room to room, it tends to get annoying.
I must stress,they person involved, did pm me to apologise............

Wonder what the majority is tho? Do you think its mainly females who get targeted?...Dont really want to change my username, but that could ease it slightly :-)

Its a shame there are lowlife scum out there JSG but its the internet and like it or not its gonna happen just add them on ur ignore list like pool life said, its a pain in the butt, but if needs must eh?
