And let the number keep rising through xmas. Nick I was wondering if maybe you could do some comparing, like how many games through xmas compared to I don't know, easter?

Don't know, I just wonder which time of the year is the best to jump into tournaments =D Obviously, player_x will fall into both categories, so we forget about him (He can read this, but cannot reply :-D)

The best time to participate in a tournament is between 1am and 7am. There is usually never any more than 30 players max at these times.
