I think a good idea to combat swearing in games would be apply a 1 point rank reduction each time you offend.
The message would read something like this:
"Pool_life loses 1 point for use of profanity."
What do you think guys?

Good idea, but if you accidently swear, when you miss type a word, then that will be unfair.

We should be able to see if it was a mistake or not. Good idea though, may have a strong effect.

This is a really good idea. I do also agree that Mods and Admin should have the ability to grant the change back, under the circumstances of an accidental swear due to a mistype. Will post in the staff forums.

Great idea but the only problem is guests are the main offenders and this fix wouldnt effect them.
Could you put this in place and mayby an Autoboot function to regulate guests? Everytime they swear they get booted....

Its a good idea in thought..
Think of the reality though, the amount of times when i play my real life mates on here they go 'f***ing hell' (or similar) after a bad shot or they get some bad luck is unreal, this would mean they lose a rank point every time they do, and the context of the swearing is totally innocent!
But the idea of mods/admins removing the point when they see offensive swearing is good!

How often is someone gonna mis-type a bloody swear word ?! Not very! So a 1 point loss in this circumstance isnt the end of the world is it?
