The server did just restart...
But it could be your machine losing sessions when opening popups. If so this is an Internet Explorer bug.
If you only use 1 player from a non shared PC you should click remember user.

My brother also uses this game as well so can't do that.
When this happens I have to log in again and the window maximises but the pool table is not visible so I then have to close that window and re-open it again.
