this is really doin my head in now, i get so far thn go backwards, its like i am actually takin 2 small steps forward and one big step back.

for example i get bout 6 points outta of 4 games, play 2 more and i lose 6 points cos of the crap rankin system. im gettin nowhere!! and its really frustrating. any chance of a change in the ranking points for example decent ranked playas dnt lose 3 bloody points against some one with a low rank!

That is kind of the point of the ranking system. If playing more games keeps getting you more points then the ranking would be down to number of games, not skill.

Basically, you need to lose less! Maybe you can improve your tactical awareness or maybe your safety play, for example.

Sorry if that sounds condescending.... I'm pretty stuck on my ranking as well...

It's very similar to before....

The only change is the ranking points change less (relatively) for each win or loss. That amount can be changed though.

Currently, for funkysnooker I'd say the amount of points won/lost is a tad too much, and for funkypool it's a tad too little.

i disagree completely. i fink i fink for funkypool its too much i much prefer the old way of ranking on poolgame.co.uk - with every win gettin bout 1 or 2 points maximum, u wud not believe how p/o i am with these f'in points system
