No, no, no, I want the game's rules! Not just some basic instructions.
I want to know which moves are illegal, and stuff like that.

The rules are loosely based on pub standard. However these differ from city to city and person to person. Where they differ these are the options chosen:

- The white may be placed anywhere behind the line, and can be aimed any direction
- After a foul the player gets a carry (even on the black)
- On the first shot after a foul the player may pot 1 or more of the opponents ball and still keep the carry. Also the player could elect to play the opponents ball and not pocket it, but will lose the carry.
