Run outs is break and clear without opponent having a go.

It often results in a 7 balling, in this case you gain a point on both run outs and 7 ballings.

If you pot 2 or more different balls on the break you wont get a 7 balling though!

Wrong Nick, sorry. A run out is when you CLEAR all 7 (or 6 if opponent pots one from break) and the black on a visit to the table, not necessarily from break, but could be done if opponent pots 2 reds and a yellow on break, opts to take red, pots 2 more reds a misses, then you come to the table and clear. That is also classed as a Run-Out.

An 9-ball run out, however is somewhat different. A 9 ball run-out exists only when a player clears all 9 balls on their first visit to the table.

If Nick you would like me to describe Run-Outs in greater detail i can do, just spot me online, usually at snooker.

Thanks, for further clarification the Run Outs we store are known as "Earned Run Outs" - break and clear.

I'm not sure people want to see those soiled run outs you're talking about? ;) As they are pretty easy if opponent almost clears after break.

Can be added if people want to see this though.

A "runout" sometimes called a "dish" in 9 ball terms is usually when someone breaks and clears.

We've not even got 9 ball here yet!

But soon soon we can emulate Efren Reyes, Steve Davis, Alex Pagulayan, Earl Strickland etc...

Nope, that's just a 7 balling.
