ie; he can do all the fancy tricks in adverts for nike, but in terms of playing a football match he's not all that brilliant. average at best. none of you had even heard of him before he mis-kicked that free kick against england. say what you want, that was never diliberate! he can't read the game like other players, and the way he goes in for challenges is quite juvinile

FIFA gave him the player of year award (or what ever it was) because they always give it to a popular player because they can benefit more financially. remember when everyone was big on ronaldo? and zidane? all decent footballers but only recieved the award because of commercial reasons

in a few years Lampard will "win" it, or Gerrard, because they are getting a reputation in football now

I heard of him as a 17 yr old yth at gremio clube de futbol purely because im odd and look for footballing prodigies, secondly he isnt just a one trick pony as he made 71 assists last season for club and country, 2nd in the world was kaka of ac milan who only managed 63. Quite a bit of difference isn't there. Thirdly he scored 9 goals for Barcelona in La Liga's Pacici and was placed 8th in La Liga's Pacici at the end of the season. I think these stats prove to be the best in the world.

all about opinions and the Fifa WPY award is given to a player voted the best by 100 Managers and coaches selected randomly throughout euroupe. So they can't all be wrong now can they.
