Thanks for making 4am tournament. I don't know why a past winner should have a match against non-past winner in only 1st round match. Then quarter finals 8 users, i was then drawn against a past winner. But 4 past winners were in Quarters so should be 1 past winner per match? Then in semis 2 past winners were left and 2 non past winners. Draw was then 2 past winners playing against each and other match 2 non past users playing against each other. Is this a correct and fair way for the format?

It's luck of the draw, no seedings or anything like that take place.

The format is similar to the FA Cup, you may meet previous winners in the opening rounds, not till the end, or not at all.
