whilst I was playing my friend just then after two balls had went down the game window closed and opened again as if id just logged in again. I never closed or nothing just as i was taking my shot this happened,

no, as id been playing the game for a few hours and then the window closed and re-opened without me doing anything

That would be a problem on your system player_x. We have no control of opening and closing the window.

Possibly it is:
- due to some pop up blocker/toolbar add on you have (as thuganomics2 said)
- due to a serious problem occurring in the window (but you should see a windows popup message you informing this has happened)
- a fault with your windows/java system

nick in this mornings tournament I was playing topshot when all of sudden the game window went white and also my pm windows froze, I recently installed the latest version of java that you told me, but ever since I installed it the game has been freezing for a few seconds before I could take my next shot but today it just crashed i had to end all my internet programs which got me DQ out of the torny,

is this a problem with my computer or the game?

It might be worth attempting to use the basic old version of Java in your case (The 2 most heavily tested and used versions are 1.1.4 Microsoft and 1.5.0 Sun).

If you go to your control panel, open Java, click Advanced, expand the <Applet> section, and untick the Internet Explorer box. This will disable the latest version of Java. Close all browsers and reopen.

To check what version you are using then you can open funkypool and look at the options panel.
