timer should scrapped on tourny games as these games sometimes turn to safety which is all the more entertaining to watch some brilliant shots get pulled out in these games then warnings start and spoil it

The timer is actually a fail safe, basically if no moderator is online then the next round will be drawn automatically after this time (imagine if 2 mischievous users decided to just muck around and not pot any balls, or if a game crashes and is not dealt with).

However I agree with you that the time limit should not be affecting games, maybe we should increase the time limit?

Yes, if anything it should be increased for the reason middles_boro said to play safety shots etc.

valhella vs challenge. tourny semi final, 1 - 0 to valhella and the 2nd frame is a safety battle lasting around 16 minutes, when the timer says 1 minute remaining.

little bit ridiculous that phantom won the tournament with a free game in the final.. ust my thoughts anyway, we're not all just about potting so games in tourns shudnt have a limit?

Yeah I agree there should be a time limit, but it needs to be the correct time limit. Especially near the beginning of the tournament you want the rounds to be quite quick or the tournament will end up lasting for hours. A 16 minute safety battle sounds a bit ridiculous to me, as if that happened in every round (which it could do in one game or another) bearing in mind that there are 3 games in a round, the tournament would last about 8 hours!

Its about getting the right balance between those that are idle and not wasting too much time, and those that want to play safety battles and not getting dq'd. Its a balance I certainly can't call, and will probably be changed again.

why dont you scrap the times as its gets to semis etc
